We built this building from the ground up, with the specific purpose of serving the
elderly community. The accommodations and amenities were designed to be modern,
functional and beautiful. Our open living spaces feature high ceilings, lots of
natural light and promote a positive energy throughout.Our Residents
Our residents are both male and female, both
ambulatory and
non-ambulatory residents of San Francisco. They are mostly of Asian background and
have varied experience in their professional life. We have performing artists,
teachers and WWII veterans.About Me
My name is Josephine Lee Wong. I am a 1st-generation Chinese Immigrant from Hong Kong
and have been in the U.S. since 1990. My background as a
Registered Nurse began in 1985 as Nursing Student in Hong
Kong. I became a nurse because I have always wanted to help others, ease their pain,
promote health and educate on a better way of life. Upon my arrival to the U.S., I
quickly realized how important it was to not lose my culture in the very diverse city
of San Francisco. I felt that I could help the senior population carry on the
traditions and maintain the cultural aspects that are missing in the U.S. It was my
18 years of work with On-Lok Lifeways, that helped me to
understand the importance of a community and the need to make a difference in each
senior's life. Fook Hong S.F. takes pride in continuing the traditions that have been
handed down over the generations. Welcome to Fook Hong S.F.!
